Foam Cutting Machine

GENMAX manufactures foam cutting machines for mattress, furniture and packaging plants converting PU, PE, PVC and other flexible foams. The range covers every cut a foam conversion line needs: horizontal slicing of blocks into sheets, vertical trimming and rectangular cutting, continuous circular peeling, contour and profile shaping. All machines are built in our own factory and shipped factory-direct, with installation guidance and operator training included.

Choosing the Right Cut for Your Product

Most plants need more than one machine, because each cut serves a different stage. Blocks come out of foaming or rebonding oversized and irregular; vertical cutting squares them up. Horizontal slicing then converts the trimmed block into sheets of specified thickness for mattress cores and toppers. Profile rollers press comfort patterns into those sheets. Circular peeling handles cylindrical blocks in continuous production where sheet volume matters more than flexibility.

The variable that decides machine choice is usually foam density, not output. Soft, high-volume-weight foams deviate under blade pressure and need pressure roller control; firmer HR foams cut clean but load the drive harder.

Horizontal Foam Cutting Machine (PQ)

Converts foam blocks into sheets of any specified thickness with pressure roller control that holds the cut true even on soft, high-volume-weight foams. The workhorse of most mattress and furniture plants.

Vertical Foam Cutting Machine (LQ)

Trims and squares blocks and cuts rectangular sheet, using linear guide technology with grinding dust extraction and an orientation hand wheel for accurate block trimming.

PU Horizontal Circular Cutting Machine (YQ)

High-speed automatic cutting on a rotating circular table for continuous horizontal production. The choice for plants running sheet volume rather than mixed job sizes.

Profile Foam Cutting Machine (PC Series)

Cuts Wave, Egg-crate and 7-Zone patterns into PU, PE and PVC foams. Custom roller patterns available on request. Profiles mattress cores, sheets and web materials for bedding, insulation and packaging.

CNC Foam Cutting Machine

Contour and shape cutting under program control, for foam packaging inserts, custom furniture cushions and complex mattress geometries that fixed-blade machines cannot produce.

Foam Peeling Machine (XQ-2150/150/200)

Continuous slicing of cylindrical blocks into sheet at speeds up to 90 m/min, with no manual thickness adjustment between runs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which foam types can these machines cut?

Flexible PU foam across the full density range, plus PE, PVC, memory foam, HR foam and rebonded foam blocks. Latex requires blade and speed adjustment, which we configure before shipment when you specify it.

How much waste does the line produce?

Trim loss varies with block quality and product mix, typically 5–10%. That offcut stream is recoverable — see our foam recycling machines for turning it back into sellable rebonded blocks.

What power supply and floor space are required?

Three-phase power, configurable to your local voltage. Floor space depends on block size and machine combination; we produce a layout drawing against your floor plan before production.

What is the lead time?

Typically 30–90 days depending on model and configuration. Every machine is assembled and test-run in our factory before shipment.
