Choosing the Right Cut for Your Product

Most plants need more than one machine, because each cut serves a different stage. Blocks come out of foaming or rebonding oversized and irregular; vertical cutting squares them up. Horizontal slicing then converts the trimmed block into sheets of specified thickness for mattress cores and toppers. Profile rollers press comfort patterns into those sheets. Circular peeling handles cylindrical blocks in continuous production where sheet volume matters more than flexibility.

The variable that decides machine choice is usually foam density, not output. Soft, high-volume-weight foams deviate under blade pressure and need pressure roller control; firmer HR foams cut clean but load the drive harder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which foam types can these machines cut?

Flexible PU foam across the full density range, plus PE, PVC, memory foam, HR foam and rebonded foam blocks. Latex requires blade and speed adjustment, which we configure before shipment when you specify it.

How much waste does the line produce?

Trim loss varies with block quality and product mix, typically 5–10%. That offcut stream is recoverable — see our foam recycling machines for turning it back into sellable rebonded blocks.

What power supply and floor space are required?

Three-phase power, configurable to your local voltage. Floor space depends on block size and machine combination; we produce a layout drawing against your floor plan before production.

What is the lead time?

Typically 30–90 days depending on model and configuration. Every machine is assembled and test-run in our factory before shipment.
